What better way to enjoy the spring weather, than cruising the lakes and canals of New York with Warther Tours?
Join us May 22 – 24th and enjoy the Chautauqua Belle steamboat on beautiful Lake Chautauqua.
A visit to Niagara Falls will take your breath away. It’s hard to believe anyone survived going over these massive waterfalls. After lunch, we’ll take an excursion on the Erie Canal. This unique 2 hour cruise will offer many opportunities for your Coast Guard licensed captain to describe the architecture, sights, and folklore along the way. In the evening you’ll have a chance to try your luck while visiting Casino Niagara. Fingers crossed that you’ll make a little extra spending money!
We’ll spend some time at the Niagara Power Vista Center, which offers a panoramic view from the observation deck 350 feet above the Niagara River. You’ll have a chance to design your own dam, operate a power grid, walk through a turbine and take a high-tech virtual ride at this center. Once we’ve learned all we can about hydroelectricity, we’ll head to Buffalo, where we will visit the Theodore Roosevelt Inauguration Site. A tour guide will interpret the circumstances of this extraordinary inauguration. The tour will also cover the Pan-American Exposition of 1901, which celebrated the unity of the nations of North, South and Central America following the Spanish-American War in 1898.
Finally, we will visit Canalside; a historic redevelopment district that was once the western terminus of the Erie Canal. Here, you’ll have time for lunch on your own and some shopping before heading home after another great Warther Tour.
