Day One

Welcome to Texas where everything is Bigger! Our first stop on the tour is the Fort Worth “Stockyards” National Historic District. From the original brick walkways to the wooden corrals, every inch of the Stockyards tells the true history of Texas’s famous livestock industry. Watch an old fashion cattle drive with with Texas Longhorns being herded down Exchange Street. Choose from a large variety of restaurants and saloons in the Stockyard area for dinner on your own.

Day Two

Today features the “Magnolia Market at the Silos”! Magnolia Market and its famous landmark silos occupy two city blocks in downtown Waco. Owned by HGTV “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines, the store offers items in Joanna’s unique style. You can experience the “Market”, relax on the lawn, grab a bite at the food trucks, visit the garden and treat yourself at the Silos Baking Company. This afternoon we will take the Waco tour which features one of the homes Chip & Joanna renovated, as well as, Harp Design Co. Dinner tonight will be at a nearby restaurant in Waco. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Three

This morning’s first stop is Joanna’s favorite shop, “Cedar Chest Antiques”. Featured on Chip and Joanna’s show this store has it all from furniture to collectibles to pottery to jewelry to clocks and more. Other landmarks we see before leaving town include the Magnolia House, Magnolia Farm, and Cuppiecakes. After our boxed lunch, we will head to the San Antonio Riverwalk which is the number one attraction in Texas! Experience the magical powers of the River Walk as you stroll the lush riverside paths lined with towering Cypress trees, restaurants, hotels, shops, museums, and recreation spots. Soak in the history and ambiance of this authentic San Antonio destination. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day Four

Known as the “Queen of the Missions”, this is the largest of the missions and was almost fully restored to its original design in the 1930s by the WPA (Works Projects Administration). Spanish missions were not churches, but communities with the church the focus. Mission San José captures a transitional moment in history, frozen in time. Make a visit to SAS (San Antonio Shoes) and visit their large gift store to get your Texas flair. We will head back to the hotel where the afternoon will be yours to enjoy. Tonight we will have our farewell dinner on the canal as we board a river barge and dine while cruising down the canal. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Five

This morning we fly home with great memories of Texas! (Breakfast)
