Day One

Depart for your overseas flight to Zurich. While on board your overnight flight, you will have both dinner and breakfast included before touching down in Switzerland. (Dinner on plane)

Day Two

Upon your morning arrival in Zurich, we will transfer to the Luzern Hotel Flora near the historic district of Lucerne.  This afternoon is your time to rest and explore after your long journey. See the Chapel Bridge with its gabled paintings of old battles and the adjacent quaint quarters with little streets and take a leisurely walk through a maze of small streets, bridges, promenades, and plazas dominated by countless historical towers, fountains, and frescoed buildings. (Breakfast on Plane)

Day Three

Today enjoy some morning leisure time before our private Swiss guide takes us to Kriens, where a cable car will sweep us over pine forests and mountain meadows to Mount Pilatus. Upon arrival at the top, a breathtaking 7000 feet in height, stroll around to enjoy the dramatic panoramic views over the Swiss Alps and Lucerne. Next, we will descend on board the world’s steepest cogwheel train to Alpnachstad and board a private boat to Baumgarten for dinner. Be sure to take in the spectacular views of Mt. Pilatus from the dock as the sun sets this evening. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Four

This morning travel to Zermatt, a small town located in the Swiss Alps near the Italian border and is renowned for its unique charm and natural beauty. Presided over by the mighty Matterhorn, Zermatt is car-free, which enhances the town’s peaceful and pristine atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for relaxation and enjoyment. This resort town is nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, surrounded by towering mountains, glaciers and alpine lakes. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Five

Start your day with a walking tour of Zermatt followed by a ride on the highest open-air railway in Europe. You won’t be disappointed on your way to Gornergrat which offers breathtaking panoramic views of some of the highest and most iconic peaks in the Swiss Alps, including the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, and several other snow-capped mountains. The unobstructed vistas from Gornergrat are truly awe-inspiring and attract visitors from around the world. (Breakfast)

Day Six

Lugano is located on the northern shore of the glacial Lake with the same name and is surrounded by mountains offering splendid viewpoints. A stroll through the characteristic traffic-free old town with its many shopping arcades, cobble-stoned streets and many piazzas will immerse you into this romantic Latin world. Another highlight today will be a charming cruise on Lake Lugano, where you will stop on the opposite shore to enjoy a drink on a terrace with a wonderful view of the city. Finally, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a private Risotto cooking class with the help of the chef! Enjoy the risotto served with a typical dish of meat, vegetables, and a good glass of wine! (Breakfast and Risotto Making)

Day Seven

Board the famous Bernina Express and travel one of the most scenic train routes in Europe that travels across the Alpine passes to reach Saint Moritz, Switzerland. Enjoy the first-class seats as you travel through forests of chestnut trees and around the famous circular viaduct in Bruscio before reaching Lake Poschiavo.  St. Moritz, the world-famous resort, is blessed with a “champagne climate”. The sun shines here 322 days a year, guaranteeing an ideal vacation climate. St. Moritz stands for cosmopolitan flair, elegance and style and the mention of its very name lifts spirits. (Breakfast)

Day Eight

Ride the Funicular up to “Muottas Murgl” and enjoy the most spectacular view in the Engadine region, also known as the “Roof of Europe”. You will be overwhelmed by this unique and memorable relaxation area. (Breakfast)

Day Nine

Take the famous Swiss mountain train, the “Glacier Express “, from St. Moritz to Andermatt, a panorama trip through the alpine heartland of Switzerland. Your first-class seats on this five-hour journey traverse over numerous bridges, and through many tunnels, crossing the impressive Oberalp Pass. Our last stop today is Interlaken, best known for being a pedestrian paradise of shops and sidewalk cafes, interrupted only by inviting gardens. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day Ten
Just when you think the scenery can’t get any better, it does! Our private guide today escorts the group on an excursion to the very heart of the Bernese Alps (the mighty “Eiger”, “Mönch” and “Jungfrau,” which form an imposing nucleus of the Alpine Region). At Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe, you can visit the Ice Palace and the Sphinx Terraces – reached by lift affording breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier, the largest river of ice in Europe. Lunch will be included on Jungfraujoch before descending to the mountaineering village of Grindelwald. (Breakfast & Lunch)
Day Eleven
On this last full day in Switzerland, enjoy a guided tour of Bern, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On a guided walking tour, you will explore the Old Town and then continue with a visit to the western city gate and enjoy a private tour of the famous medieval Clock Tower. Built in the early 13th century, it has served the city as a guard tower, prison, clock tower and is Bern’s most recognizable symbol and the oldest monument. Finally, we head back to Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland where you may want to pick up that last souvenir in Old Town before our farewell dinner and travels home tomorrow. (Breakfast and Farewell Dinner)
Day Twelve

This morning you will say “Aufwiedersehen” to beautiful Switzerland and return home with treasured memories of another Life Experience with Warther Tours (Breakfast & Lunch on Plane)
