Evening departure for an overnight stay at the airport hotel preparing for an earlier morning departing flight.

Day 2

Unwind four nights at the Hampton Inn, Amelia, which offers a comfortable and convenient stay on this beautiful barrier island. Located in historic downtown Fernandina Beach, it provides easy access to both the island’s pristine beaches and its charming local attractions. (Breakfast)

Day 3

Depart for the picturesque Jekyll Island, Georgia, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure. Upon arrival, meet the charming trolley that will whisk you away on a fascinating tour of the Jekyll Island Historic District, where you’ll step back in time to the Gilded Age. As you explore the grand mansions and learn about the island’s rich history, you’ll discover why this was once the exclusive playground for America’s wealthiest families. This afteroon get ready for the highlight of your day—an exhilarating 90-minute dolphin watch cruise. As you glide down the scenic river, keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins leaping through the water, surrounded by the island’s stunning coastal beauty. This peaceful yet exciting boat ride is the perfect way to experience the island’s wildlife up close and create memories that will last a lifetime. Day 4

Start your day with a delightful carriage tour of Amelia Island, where rich history comes alive. Journey through time, from the era of the Timucua Indians to the bustling modern shrimping industry. Discover the stories behind the eight flags that have flown over the island and meet the intriguing characters who shaped its past. Your local guide will take you through the charming Fernandina Beach Historic District, showcasing stunning post-Civil War architecture that tells the tales of significant residents and notable visitors. This enchanting ride isn’t just about sightseeing; it’s an immersive experience into a captivating history filled with beautiful gems waiting to be uncovered. After a little time in Fernandina Beach for lunch and shopping on your own we will explore Fort Clinch. The Fort offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into Civil War history with its well-preserved fortifications and engaging reenactments by costumed interpreters. Nestled within a scenic state park, the fort provides a unique blend of historical exploration and natural beauty, perfect for an unforgettable adventure. Dinner tonight will be at a local restaurant. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 5

Today we experience the Charm of St. Augustine’s Historic District. Before the Pilgrims ever set foot on Plymouth Rock, St. Augustine was already flourishing as a vibrant town steeped in history. Nestled in the historic Alcazar Hotel, built in 1888 by railroad magnate Henry Flagler, the Lightner Museum showcases one of the finest collections of arts in the country. Enjoy a 45-minute guided tour that highlights the hotel’s stunning architecture and impressive exhibits, deepening your appreciation for Flagler’s legacy. Next, we take a scenic cruise on the Victory III and experience St. Augustine from a different perspective. Revel in the breathtaking views of the city and its historic landmarks while enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds you.

             

Later in the afternoon we all become young again when we visit the “Fountain of Youth”. This National Archaeological Park is home to a 4,000-year-old native village and Florida’s first Spanish settlement. Join a one-hour guided tour, sip from a freshwater spring, and engage in colonial activities like cannon firing, boat building and blacksmithing. We conclude today’s adventure with an entertaining dining experience featuring St. Augustine in a Trunk at the Old City House Restaurant, where history and flavor come together for a memorable meal. Day 6

Flying home, take a moment to reflect on the rich experiences and memories made across the stunning coastal landscapes of Amelia Island, Jekyll Island, and St. Augustine. Fly Home! (Breakfast)
