Your Itinerary

Day One - Gaylord National

Located near the banks of the Potomac River, the Gaylord National resort has everything you need or want.  Fully decked out for the Christmas season, guests can explore the many restaurants, shops, lounges, spa, pools and entertainment.  Dinner will be on own tonight.

Day Two - Gaylord National

Arlington National Cemetery welcomes visitors to explore the rich history found within its hallowed grounds. The cemetery is expansive – 639 acres. The Group will take the interpretive tour bus, which stops at John F. Kennedy’s gravesite, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and other notable sites. Enjoy a step on guided tour of Old Town Alexandria with a visit to Christ Church, the same church that George Washington attended with his family. Old Town is Alexandria’s beloved downtown and is a nationally designated historic district on the Potomac River waterfront. The King Street Mile and surrounding brick-lined sidewalks are studded with centuries-old architecture, historic attractions and many shops and businesses.  Guests will enjoy dinner at the historic Gadsby’s Tavern that has been offering fine dining since 1770.  (Breakfast, Dinner)   

 

Day 3 - Gaylord National

Tour the majestic Washington National Cathedral.  The architecture, stained glass windows and cathedral ceilings will leave your spirit in awe.   Visit the U.S. Botanic Garden. Offering a garden-wide Season’s “Greenings”/Greetings holiday display.   As part of the festivities, G-gauge model trains will run between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day in the gated outdoor gardens and the Conservatory will feature poinsettias, holiday decor, and D.C. landmarks made from plants.

Enjoy a step-on guided tour of the Monuments and Memorial throughout DC.

Washington, D.C. is home to numerous monuments and memorials that reflect the nation’s history, culture, and values. These monuments and memorials contribute to the rich tapestry of Washington, D.C., symbolizing the nation’s history, sacrifices, and aspirations. Each site offers a unique perspective on different aspects of American life and values.

Enjoy a dinner cruise along the Potomac River on the elegant Odyssey.  Guests can relax and learn on this narrated cruise along the river while being delighted by the sights & lights of Washington DC and the monuments.  (Breakfast & Dinner)
