Travel north to Michigan’s beloved Bavarian village of Frankenmuth. Spend the afternoon browsing unique boutiques, bakeries, and specialty shops, including a visit to the world-famous Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland. This evening, meet your fellow travelers during an included Welcome Dinner before settling into the comfortable SpringHill Suites. (D)

Day Two
Welcome to Mackinac Island
Journey north to Mackinaw City before boarding the ferry to Mackinac Island. Upon arrival, check into the legendary Grand Hotel and enjoy an included horse-drawn carriage tour showcasing the island’s history and scenic beauty. End the day with dinner at the Grand Hotel. (B,D)

Day Three
A Day to Explore
Today is yours to enjoy Mackinac Island however you choose. Browse the charming downtown shops, visit historic Fort Mackinac, rent a bicycle, relax on the Grand Hotel’s famous porch, or simply take in the island’s timeless atmosphere. Day Four
Island Farewell & Midland
Enjoy a leisurely morning before exploring downtown Mackinac Island one last time. Shop along Lake Shore Drive and enjoy lunch on your own before boarding the ferry back to the mainland. This evening, arrive in Midland and check into the elegant H Hotel with time to enjoy dinner at one of downtown’s excellent restaurants. (B)

Day Five
Midland’s Architectural Treasure
This morning, discover one of Michigan’s architectural gems with a guided tour of the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio. After time for lunch on your own in downtown Midland, we begin our journey home with wonderful memories of Michigan’s charming towns and iconic Mackinac Island. (B)
